Join our mechanics classes and learn how to maintain your bike.
Join us on the last Saturday of every month at 4:00 p.m. for our Beginners Mechanics Class. The class covers the basic anatomy of the bicycle, how to change a flat and emergency roadside repairs everyone should know! Come ready with questions! To join the class, we encourage a $15 suggested donation to Redemptive Cycles. If you are a RC Member, this class is free!
Our Masters Class teaches you all the ins and outs of bicycle repair. This is a hands on class so come prepared to get dirty. You will learn everything from wheel truing to bottom bracket installation and everything in between. This course is $250 and will consist of two 4 hour classes (with a break in the middle) on two consecutive Saturdays. Upon completion of the class you will completely refurbish a bike for our Earn-A-Bike Program and receive a Park Tool Certification and repair manual.
It is required that you have already taken our Basic Mechanics Class or are proficient in changing a flat before taking this class. Classes are offered a few times a year during the off season depending on demand. Call the shop for more details and check our social media for when classes will be offered.
